FAQ

  • Use the contact form, Luke!

I’ll reach out to you shortly! We’ll get a video (Google Meet) call scheduled and go through everything including proposal, pricing, my process and any questions you have!

If everyone is comfy, we’ll get your contract signed on the call and deposit (retainer) paid, and we’ll be all good to go for your session!

Or no pressure, we’ll leave that proposal with you and you can sign contract and pay retainer whenever you are ready.

    Can’t wait to see you!

  • A video call is great because it can be scheduled so we avoid the phone-tag game :)

But whatever mode of communication you prefer is fine, as long as everyone is comfortable.

A video call is just a great way to see if we are a good fit, and go over all the details of a session and contract.

It also provides a layer of safety for everyone, so we know we’re all real people and can find each other when we meet at a park and take pictures, for example!

  • Yes!
In the contract, for 50% is due upon signing of contract, and then the rest is due, usually on the day of the shoot, or before delivery. For business clients 50% is due net 15/30 depending on agreement. Please see your proposal/contract for more info.

  • Based in Omaha, Nebraska.

Destination wedding? Let’s do it! I charge simple flat fee for travel.

Will travel reasonable driving distances from Omaha for no additional fees. Usually 2 or more hours of driving will incur a mileage fee.

  • I love this question as I would be curious too :)

    Currently I use a Sony a7r5 which has dual-SD card slots, and is a professional-grade mirror-less camera.

I also have three Sony A7III’s to make sure I can get every angle when needed. I also have video lights, photo-flashes and plenty of other gear to make sure we get the technical right. Everything after that all falls into place.

  • Yes!

I have a short list of photographers and videographers that would be happy to help! Subject to their availability and their additional fee.

  • Photo-journalistic with a touch of editorial.

Bright and airy most of the time, with a touch of drama at sunset with a true-to-life colors editing style.

Photo-journalistic, to me, just means that most of the time I am a fly-on-the-wall, but when appropriate I direct and prompt to make images just perfect, while still embracing the moment.

  • Zech is pronounced as your typical garden-variety “Zack.” Zech is just short for Zechariah, which is fancy.

You can also call me ZJ if you’re cool, or if you forget my name you can just shout “video guy” and I’ll probably respond to that too. :)
